President Emmerson Mnangagwa visited the Zimbabwean pavilion at the ongoing Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, where he expressed satisfaction with the nation’s international presence. Since the Expo’s opening in April, the pavilion has seen over half a million visitors, with daily attendance averaging around 7,000. The Zimbabwean showcase highlights the country’s strengths in sectors such as investment, innovation, culture, and tourism.

The President applauded the high standard and originality of the exhibits, describing them as a strong reflection of Zimbabwe’s potential and future direction. He underscored the importance of international expos as platforms for exchanging ideas and learning from other nations, saying they offer opportunities to adopt global best practices across key sectors of the economy.

“This isn’t just about displaying who we are,” President Mnangagwa noted. “It’s a moment to reflect and take inspiration from innovations around the world, which we can then incorporate into our national development strategies.”

As part of his visit, the President also explored pavilions from neighboring African countries such as Zambia, Lesotho, and Malawi, as well as Japan’s national pavilion.

Zimbabwe’s participation at Expo 2025 is in line with its efforts to reconnect with the international community, draw in foreign investment, and showcase the nation’s industries to a wider global market. From traditional sectors like agriculture and mining to modern developments in tourism and technology, the pavilion presents a vibrant picture of Zimbabwe’s economic and cultural richness.
