Struggling Harare football giants Dynamos have suspended head coach Saul Chaminuka over alleged breaches of the club’s employment code of conduct, deepening the club’s crisis both on and off the pitch.
The decision was made following a tense meeting between Chaminuka and the Dynamos executive on Thursday, where the team’s recent dismal performances and concerns over the coach’s conduct were thoroughly examined.
In an official statement, the club confirmed that Chaminuka has been suspended without pay or benefits and will not be allowed access to the team’s facilities during the suspension period.
Dynamos are enduring one of their worst seasons in recent memory, sitting 17th on the Premier Soccer League table with just 16 points from 22 matches a record that has left supporters frustrated and the executive under immense pressure to act.
The club has not yet announced who will take over in the interim, but sources suggest that changes in the technical department are imminent as the Glamour Boys fight to avoid relegation.
