Harare – In one of the most high-profile moves of the season, Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers Scottland FC have landed former Warriors skipper Knowledge Musona.
Nicknamed The Smiling Assassin, the 34-year-old striker was officially presented at Rufaro Stadium on Monday as Scottland faced Yadah in a league clash. His move comes after parting ways with Saudi Arabian side Al Okhdood, underlining Scottland’s intent in their maiden PSL campaign.
The Mabvuku-based side has been active in the transfer market, roping in Warriors forward Terrence Dzvukamanja from South Africa’s SuperSport United, Namibian international Moses Shidolo, and Malawian striker Khuda Muyaba.
Musona, whose decorated career has seen him play in South Africa, Belgium, and the Middle East, is tipped to inject much-needed experience, leadership, and attacking flair as Scottland aim to secure their top-flight status.
His arrival has sent a wave of optimism through the club’s supporters, who believe the Smiling Assassin could inspire Scottland to exceed expectations in their debut PSL season.
