AG’s Office Strengthens Pledge to Deliver Quality Legal Support

Masvingo – The Attorney General’s Office has underscored its pledge to provide transparent, efficient, and high-quality legal services to government, cementing its role in safeguarding the rule of law.

During a Mid-Term Strategic Review Workshop in Masvingo, Attorney General Mrs. Virginia Mabhiza highlighted achievements from the first half of 2025, including reduced court backlogs, advances in legislative drafting, and the submission of 14 Bills to Parliament.

“Our mandate requires a strong grasp of the law and a dedication to its fair application, ensuring we contribute to a just and prosperous nation,”

Mrs. Mabhiza said.

Supporting her remarks, Executive Secretary Mr. Johanne Gandiwa shared the office’s vision of becoming a premier legal advisory body, with a goal of drafting 30 key Bills by year-end to aid economic development.

The four-day workshop brings together legal professionals, AG’s office staff, and senior officials to review performance and strengthen strategies for better service delivery.
