Masvingo – The Zimbabwe Pensioners Welfare Trust (ZPWT) today brought hope and empowerment to Masvingo through the distribution of broiler day-old chicks, stock feeds, and equipment to retirees, alongside the handover of assistance devices to people living with disabilities, in a landmark event held at Gain Cash and Carry.

The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Masvingo, Honourable Ezra Chadzamira, was ably represented by the Director of Finance, Administration, and Human Resources, Mr. Jambo Muchazotida Nyamhuri, who hailed the program as a milestone for inclusive development.

“I feel honored and privileged to be part of this important occasion. This initiative comes at the right time, as our Province pursues inclusive development programs in line with His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s mantra of ‘Leaving No One and No Place Behind’ in the journey towards Vision 2030,” said Mr. Nyamhuri.

The ZPWT, a registered affiliate of ZANU PF, is dedicated to uplifting pensioners, war veterans, civil servants, and people with disabilities through economic empowerment projects. The broiler production initiative and donation of assistance devices will enable beneficiaries to improve livelihoods and participate more actively in community development.

One beneficiary expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying:

“We want to thank the Zimbabwe Pensioners Welfare Trust for this gesture. They must continue extending this support to others, as they have done for us today.”
