Manchester United continued their impressive US preseason tour with a commanding 4-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League Summer Series at Soldier Field on Wednesday night.

Goals from Rasmus Højlund, Patrick Dorgu, Amad Diallo, and teenage sensation Ethan Williams secured the Red Devils’ second consecutive win under new manager Ruben Amorim.

United got off to a flying start when Dorgu delivered a pinpoint cross in the 8th minute, allowing Højlund to head home past Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic. Dorgu then doubled the lead in the 25th minute, latching onto a clever free kick from Mason Mount before calmly slotting the ball into the net.

Diallo added a third goal early in the second half, bundling the ball in after a goalmouth scramble. Amorim’s wholesale changes in the final 20 minutes injected fresh energy, and substitute Williams needed just two minutes to make an impact, curling a low shot into the bottom corner to make it 4-0.

The only blemish came in the 88th minute when defender Matthijs de Ligt scored an unfortunate own goal, handing Bournemouth their lone consolation.

The victory follows United’s 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday, leaving the team in strong form heading into their final preseason clash against Everton in Atlanta.

Meanwhile, in Chicago’s other friendly, West Ham came from behind to defeat Everton 2-1, with Niclas Füllkrug netting the winner.

The Premier League Summer Series concludes on Sunday, with United aiming to finish their US tour unbeaten.
