Harare — Afro-fusion sensation Kudakwashe Kachiko, better known by his stage name Oriyano, is striking the right chord in Zimbabwe’s music scene, with a growing list of chart-topping hits and high-profile collaborations that have cemented his rising stardom.

With a string of successful singles such as Ndakuda, Zampele, and Kamubhoga, Oriyano has become one of the most sought-after names in local music. His ability to blend soulful lyrics with captivating Afro-fusion rhythms has propelled him onto both local and international stages.

Oriyano attributes his talent and success to divine inspiration.

“I am still an upcoming musician, but I have learnt a few things along the way. The most important thing is to pray because we were given these talents by God. The lyrics to my songs are a gift from Him,” he said.

The young star is not slowing down. He revealed that a new project is currently in the works and promised fans something spectacular. “We are working on a new project, and if all goes well, our fans should expect fireworks. I cannot say the exact dates, but soon there will be something exciting.”

Oriyano’s star power has been amplified through collaborations with some of Zimbabwe’s leading artists, including Master H, Holy Ten, and Nyasha David, which have helped broaden his audience and deepen his musical footprint.
