Harare – The vibrant sounds of Afro-pop will echo through Harare this October as celebrated South African duo Mafikizolo headlines the 2025 Jacaranda Music Festival, set for October 3–5 at the scenic Thornpark Polo Grounds.

Festival Director Walter Wanyanya confirmed the dates, noting that the festival continues to grow as Zimbabwe’s premier celebration of music and culture.

“The Jacaranda Music Festival is happening again this year, and the lineup is bigger than ever,” Wanyanya said. “So far, we’ve announced the first phase, which includes Murumba Pitch, Mafikizolo, and Vusi Nova from South Africa, alongside local talents like Agga Nyabinde, DJ Ace, and DJ Spunj. More artists will be revealed in the coming days.”

Beyond the live performances, the festival will also feature pre-festival workshops aimed at empowering Zimbabwean artists through mentorship from international music professionals, record labels, and industry leaders.

“The workshops provide a valuable platform for our artists to gain knowledge and connect with key players in the global music scene,” Wanyanya explained.

Since its launch in 2018, the Jacaranda Music Festival has evolved into a music-industry incubator, celebrated for its genre diversity and for giving local musicians a platform to share the stage with international stars.

With Mafikizolo and a powerhouse lineup, the 2025 edition promises to be a spectacular showcase of talent, culture, and creativity, cementing its place as one of Zimbabwe’s most anticipated entertainment events.
