Masvingo – Masvingo United Football Club, affectionately known as Asipo Haapo/Una Una, made a surprise and spirited appearance at the ongoing Masvingo Provincial Investment Conference held at the Urban Lifestyles Hotel. The team, led by its vibrant marketing head Mrs. Angeline Mikiri, received a warm welcome from government ministers, business leaders, and stakeholders focused on charting a prosperous economic future for the province.
In a heartwarming gesture of support, the club received a USD $5,000 donation from several Honourable Ministers in attendance, including the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Prof. Mthuli Ncube, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Masvingo, Hon. Ezra Chadzamira, Hon. Mangaliso Ndlovu, Hon. Winston Chitando, Hon. Dr. Energy Mutodi, and Hon. Clemence Chiduwa. The funds are expected to bolster the club’s welfare, logistics, and operational needs as they continue to represent Masvingo with pride on the national football scene.
A standout moment was the presence and encouragement from Hon. Ezra Chadzamira, the club’s official patron. In his remarks, he reaffirmed his long-standing support for Masvingo United and youth empowerment through sport.
